First Day on the trail! The train, tram and bus took me all the way to Campo. On the last bus were two very friendly hikers. And together we found way to the monstrous border wall.
The wall has two fences with bare ground in between them. Behind the second fence is Mexico!
Start of the PCT: direction - Canada!
The first 3 miles of the trail lead through beautiful green landscapes with cactus, yucca, mint and many exotic bushes. The colors were fresh vigorous green. It is like walking through paradise. We found a cozy camping spot under big oak trees near beehives. The test of cooking stove was successful and l ate delicious food. Looking forward to a good sleep under trees and stars!
